An explanation of how to carry out a simple test of your brake booster on your own car, this test is the same for any car that has a brake booster/vacuum servo fitted.
Depending where you live in the world the brake booster is AKA vacuum servo AKA power booster.
If after these test you suspect that you may have a fault with your power booster, the first places to check are the hose from the vacuum pump/manifold (wherever your booster gets its vacuum from) up to the check valve/non-return valve on the servo unit itself. If they check out then listen for a hissing around the vacuum unit and ask a friend to operate the foot brake pedal with the engine running while you have a look.
