69 Caddy El Dorado Coupe
It was an airplane mechanic / pilot owned car that has been
garaged all it’s life when parked. Bought new in Hayward California
and has remained in the area since. All original Patina Silver paint with the exception of the right door which was spot painted years ago. Super nice dark burgundy colored, aka Mauve Leather interior. Gorgeous under the hood.
Very straight body with a few minor dings, although the 50 year old paint is thinning in places, it ‘s almost too good to paint the entire car. If anything, as a survivor should be spot painted with lacquer after fixing the few dings to retain originality IMO. The vinyl top is darn nice, the bumpers and trim are in great shape as well. As they say, they’re only original once!
Just out of storage since 1995 from an airplane hanger. Starts, runs
and drives fine after setting the points, cleaning out the fuel lines,
filter etc. Should double check all belts, hoses before any long
distance trips. A/C needs a charge.
If you a seeking an El Dorado of this vintage, you will look long
and hard to find a nicer original car.
Lots of receipts as well as warranty card, owners manual, reg
cards and original pink slip.
