  • CONTENTS

    1. Scene from “Biotech Warrior”. I made the suit and then later forgot I played a bad guy in the film. The late Sky Callahan is in the suit which I built for $14.97. Bret McCormick writer, director, incredibly fun guy. Loved working on his low budget stuff.

    2. Super 8mm claymation 1971. “Hopeless High School” poking fun at dress codes. Yeah, it’s crude. I was a Junior in HS. But the student crowd went nuts, stood and cheered when we showed it at a makeshift film fest! But then again, most of the audience was probably high.

    3. J Hall’s childrens play “Tales of Dragons”. Main character trains to fight real dragons with the dragon “simulator”. This is followed by the “real” dragon I made rising from the pit at the end. Forget the lessons and such the play tried to convey…my hydraulic dragon is all any kid remembered. (I built the thing over a Genii lift in the orchestra pit, stuck Lee Cox at the controls and broke every safety rule in Texas.) I learned many many valuable low tech methods from genius Ken Miller during our friendship but at the top of the list would be that cardboard is your non-budget friend.

    4. Rehearsing the redneck couple fantasy sequence for “Phantom Itch” 1991. Suellen Sharp in a Joe Riley fat make-up/fat suit and Jason Jordan’s kids (plus some others that, to be honest, I have no idea who they belonged to.) Followed by a clip from the finished scene.

    5. A video “invitation” sent to area agents, directors, casting agents for a graduating class’s Showcase. If you’ve looked at any of these video grab bags you know how many showcases we did and the volume of work that went into these annual shows. This class had a “Chorus Line” theme, 1994.

    6. We produced the March of Dimes Haunted Hose TV spots for a number of years as a practical class exercise and demo reel piece for PAMTC students. This one is from 1990. Very early CG attempts but not bad for zero budget almost 30 years ago.

    7. Video promo for 1997 production of Orwell’s “1984″. These were (are?) used to promote current productions. This one was looped until it depressed viewers to suicidal levels. But I dig it…lotta family and friends playing both Big Brother storm troopers as well as gallows victims. Had tons o’ fun with that hanging harness!

    8. Trivia Guys. Chair giveaway. Too many martinis before shoot. More of this on Seg 1..I think.

    9. The “Hitler Rap”. Ok. Try not to freak out. We had this mechanical Hitler head that the talented Joe Riley made for “They Saved Hitlers Brain” on the “Film Vault”. It was a gorgeous prop but what the hell do you do with such a thing? Anyway, this was the closeout from that show. 1985. (I did kinda accidentally freak out my son with it when I brought it home from the studio. He recovered, however. Still has a slight nervous twitch but otherwise…)

    10. Richard Malmos is also one damn fine actor/singer. Here he is in college as John Adams in “1776″.

    11. Home 8mm movies of 1978 (?) “Aesops Falables” childrens show cast behind the scenes and in performance.

    12. Richard Malmos at the notorious cast party for “Steambath” 1974. I’ll try to post more of THAT party footage in future VGB’s.
It’s sound film, badly damaged but somehow reflects MORE accurately the “feel” for the party.

    13. The late Jason Jordan shot this footage behind the scenes of
    “New School Blues” 1998

    14. A quick return to the insane Steambath party. Ken Miller doing a line from “Planet of the Apes”.

    15. “Sweeney Todd”. The judge (Marty Thornton) gets his.

    16. Recruitment video for PAMTC film acting classes with Gary Carter, instructor.

    17. Followed by a “domestic disturbance” scene shot by that class.
We threw the actor in the water in February. Sadistic, I know. That’s show biz, kids! 1989.

    18. Another scene from Bret McCormick’s “Biotech Warrior” where I get to tell the killer robot/android that it’s my “angel of death” and then tell it to take a whiz on the floor. 1995. This is art, people.

    19. A 1974 double date with my old pal Michael”VZ” and our blonde galpals. Nothing bad about that night whatsoever…except possibly Jamie’s high pitched glass-shattering giggle.

The after-sale warranty service is timely and thoughtful, encounter problems can be resolved very quickly, we feel reliable and secure.
